Rhys Jones – President

Having worked within the industry for many years, Rhys has vast experience at executive level, with a wealth of knowledge from subsea to isolation and control valve technology. 

Rhys has worked within the Severn Group for a number of years before joining LB Bentley as President in January 2022. His is a proven business leader who is focussed on delivering to customer expectations. With expertise in commercial risk management, Rhys is driving the success of LB Bentley and developing the business to achieve its year on year growth, with a focal point on fully satisfying the needs of our customers. 

In his spare time Rhys is an avid walker and enjoys a challenge, having tackled some of the most prominent mountains in the UK.

Sushant Kudale – Operations Director

Sushant joined Severn Group in June 2023 as Operations Director, working within LB Bentley. Sushant has over 15 years experience in the oil & gas industry and has a track record of building, leading and transforming operations, developing outsourced supply chain models and streamlining complex business operations across Europe, Asia and America. 

Sushant holds a master’s degree in Manufacturing Management from Coventry University and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore India. 

Outside work, Sushant is a keen cyclist and big cricket fan. 

Graham Smith – Business Development Manager                    (Filters & Dryers)

Graham joined LB Bentley in April 2023 as Business Development Manager for Filters and Dryers. 

Graham has a wealth of experience in both commercial and technical roles in Industrial, Aerospace & Defence and Rail markets, with a track record of winning new customers by developing overseas markets and innovative new products to meet customers’s needs. 

Graham has a technical background with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Brunel University and has been awarded several patents as a result of new product development over the years. 

Graham’s role is to support the company’s existing customer base and grow the business by promoting the benefits of LB Bentley Filters and Dryers to customers in new markets.

Leonardo Gonzalez – Business Development Manager (Valves)

Meet Leonardo Gonzalez, LB Bentley’s Business Development Manager, boasting over a decade of experience in the oil & gas industry. Leo has a proven track record working with top-tier organizations, excelling in sales forecasting, strategic market analysis, and close collaboration with procurement and engineering teams to ensure technical clarity and effective negotiations. He also has a knack for creating new business opportunities within the industry.

While he initially focused on South American opportunities, Leonardo’s role has since evolved to support our global business. Based in Rio de Janeiro, he heads our global sales team and frequently travels to meet with our customers worldwide.

With his experience and industry insights, Leo is committed to developing our sales team and helping them achieve their goals across various locations.

Terry Potts – Head of Engineering

Terry is an experienced Engineering professional with a demonstrated history of providing technical and strategic leadership in highly regulated sectors including the Automotive, Metrology and Energy industries.  As the Head of Engineering for LB Bentley, Terry holds responsibility for the entire engineering function, encompassing everything from technical production design and new product development to R&D and product qualification. Terry believes a quality-focussed engineering culture is fundamental to success and leads the team to produce the right products, to the right quality, in the right timeframe.

As engineering lead Terry is also responsible for ensuring a joined-up approach with the wider business, also participating in industry Technical Expert Groups and contributing to the creation and development of industry standards.  He advocates building strong relationships with all departments within the business, focussed project management, and instilling lean principles from initial product design.  Terry is keen to promote engineering in the wider community by supporting our current educational liaison programme and encouraging young people into engineering as their career of choice.
