Going Through the Paces: The Bloodhound’s first public tests

Two members of the LB Bentley Ltd (LBB) engineering team were delighted to have received tickets to watch the first public tests of the Bloodhound SSC, a British supersonic land vehicle built to break the world land speed record.

The tickets were won by LBB’s Engineering Manager, Bryan Sanderson, from a draw held by the ‘Institute of Mechanical Engineers’. As Bryan was unable to personally attend the tickets were offered to members of his team, Paul Davis and Rick Lees were very willing recipients. The event was very well attended and as VIP’s the hospitality they received was excellent.

“It was a really great day, very interesting and informative.” Commented Paul, with full agreement from Rick. “It is fantastic to see a British company forging ahead with such ground-breaking technology.”
